This weeks illustration friday topic had me humming a line from a Kate Bush song called Mrs Bartolozzi , its about doing laundry & getting a dirty shirt clean.

I don't own any shirts, hence the knikkers

opposites

The top half is watercolour and felt tip pen on paper.. the bottom half is a watercolour monoprint and felt tip pen.... the opposing peices joined in photoshop....

With monoprinting the print is the opposite way round to the way you paint the image on the plate....
blue and yellow being opposite colours on the colour wheel.....
night/day, sun/moon....
love/anger.....

and drawing hearts opposes all my artist instincts... but the little Miro style characters i tried first didnt really tell the same story..

tonight at the comedy club we present MR STICK!


mr stick fashioned from a branch of the apple tree out the front of my house with plasticine additions....set on stage via photoshop.. where in i committed a typo and saved it in some weird way that won't allow me to correct it
