opposites
The top half is watercolour and felt tip pen on paper.. the bottom half is a watercolour monoprint and felt tip pen.... the opposing peices joined in photoshop....
With monoprinting the print is the opposite way round to the way you paint the image on the plate....
blue and yellow being opposite colours on the colour wheel.....
night/day, sun/moon....
love/anger.....
and drawing hearts opposes all my artist instincts... but the little Miro style characters i tried first didnt really tell the same story..

This works perfectly...I like the tiny hearts! I also like that this works with the topic on all those levels...even being opposite to your usual subject matter! Good work!
